splayed leg help...
Jun 13th, 2008, 9:18pm

I have a Canary chick with a splayed leg.  cry Right now I have the chick in a very small cup to help hold it in correct postion.  I am also hand feeding it. because the hen squishes it so tight under her the chick can not pull its leg into correct position./
I am a little computer illiterate so could someone please direct me to a place where I can see how to make a hooble?  I saw the drawing and the foam hobble but was looking for something more like the drawing.

question...  If I wrap the chick's leg and body in white guaze wrap to hold the legs in [they will be immobile this way. I would also make sure the vent is not covered.] would that help?  I do know the cup method I am using right now is not going to work in a few days as the chick grows. Sad

I know I am so late but how is the bird doing? Were you able to correct it?

I know she is keeping the bird, but don't know if his leg problems were corrected.
From what she described his legs stick out in front, not to the side like a splayed leg.
